Hi Dennis-

Finished the book- what great imagination you have. what starts out as a commentary on the happy place Ozland is now that the witches are gone, there's a dark side to all that happiness and the plot begins to draw you in. There are several levels you can read into the book- what is true happiness- is it blind acceptance of the status quo, or is it something deeper- a quest for the truth and what makes the world the place it is. And who tells the truth- can authority ever be trusted? You realize this is coming from a 60's radical who never lost that drive.

Really enjoyed it- looking forward to the next installment

There have been some writers to whom I've suggested they go back to the drawing board, perhaps starting with an outline and joining a writer's group. There are others, such as yourself, to whom I can honestly say I'm excited about this book and can hardly wait till it's published so I can recommend it to family, friends, and followers.

What an amazing approach from a classic story that I remember from my childhood. I never really thought about what would happen to the story continuing on past the OZ I remember as a child, but I think this was a great and fun way to continue going with it. It is very fun and easy to like the characters. Very imaginative! Loved it and am hoping for more!
I Highly Recommend it!

I just finished this book and I was pleasantly surprised since it is this author's first book. The subject matter is really fun and he has done a good job of developing his characters. The plot is clever and the characters well conceived.

Was it Tom Clancy? No. Was it entertaining enough that I m looking forward to the next one in the series? Absolutely. In researching Griffith on the internet l learned that the tale evolved as a bedtime story for his two young daughters. Reading it in that light I found it delightful.
